Met The Human Perspective nodigt Marieke Blijleven ons uit om stil te staan bij de manier waarop we mensen waarnemen en interpreteren. Haar werk raakt aan de verschillende lagen van het mens-zijn: aan kwetsbaarheid en kracht, aan wat zichtbaar wordt en aan wat zich juist niet direct laat zien. In deze eerste editie van Artist in Focus ontmoeten we Marieke niet alleen via haar kunst, maar ook via haar persoonlijke verhaal en haar creatieve proces. In een verdiepend gesprek ontdekken we wat haar drijft, hoe haar werk zich ontwikkelt en welke vragen haar als kunstenaar blijven bezighouden.
Haar eigen stem en een zorgvuldig samengestelde selectie werken in een thematische virtuele 3D-presentatie brengen die verschillende perspectieven samen. Zo ontstaat een bijzondere wisselwerking tussen wat Marieke wil uitdrukken, wat haar werk laat zien en wat wij er als kijker zelf in ontdekken.

About the Curator
Behind CaroArtVirtualGallery is curator, artist and writer Caroline Geerling.
She believes that experiencing art goes beyond simply viewing artworks. Through carefully curated virtual exhibitions, artist stories, publications and thoughtful context, she creates spaces where curiosity, reflection and discovery come together. Rather than offering a single way of looking, each exhibition invites visitors to explore multiple layers of meaning and to experience art at their own pace.

As both curator and artist, Caroline brings together her own artistic practice and her passion for storytelling, always with the aim of making contemporary art more accessible, engaging and meaningful for a wider audience.
